Do Something Awards LogoVH1 and DoSomething.org — the country’s largest nonprofit for young people committed to community service and social change — teamed up to put on the 2012 Do Something! Awards, which celebrated the top change-makers and activists under the age of 25 across the country.

Hosted by Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris of the Fox hit comedy New Girl, the show honored celebrities like Ben Affleck, Hope Solo, Nick Cannon and will.i.am who commit their time and efforts to doing good. Featuring music performances by Flo Rida and fun., the event culminated in the awarding of the Grand Prize to Katia Gomez, a 24-year-old from California who created Educate2Envision, which brings educational opportunities to children in Honduras. The prize came with a $100,000 donation to her organization.
